Ҵý is proud to present the Academy of Aviation and Aeronautics. This one-of-a-kind program prepares students who aspire to be or is intrigued by the aviation industry. If you are interested in how airplanes take flight or how space vehicles ascend into the atmosphere, the Academy of Aviation and Aeronautics is for you.

AP Capstone

Ҵý is proud to have been named AP Large District of the Year by CollegeBoard. AP Capstone is a diploma program based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards, which are valued by colleges across the United States and around the world. Basically, if you want to solve complicated problems, think independently, and stand out on your college application, AP Capstone is for you!

AVID

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a program and elective opportunity dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing students for college and other postsecondary opportunities. AVID teaches skills and behaviors for academic success, provides intensive support with tutorials and strong student/teacher relationships, creates a positive peer group for students, and develops a sense of hope for personal achievement gained through hard work and determination. AVID transforms students into hard working, college ready candidates who confront challenges head-on.

Blended Learning - Infinity Academy

The Infinity Academy is blended learning environments where teachers and students work together to create an educational plan tailored to each student’s needs and areas of interest. On a typical day, you will see students working individually or in pairs, small and large groups, or with teachers. In this blended learning program, students operate as a team, and work together to achieve success. Each student is a part of a house with a leadership team and mentors, so all students feel included and have access to resources like their own laptop computer to take home. Students have the freedom to work ahead and explore topics of interest. Here, success is earned, and your hard work will be rewarded.

Cambridge Programme

Ҵý is proud to offer the Cambridge Programme at 10 outstanding schools. For more than 170 years, the prestigious University of Cambridge has been setting worldwide curriculum standards through their examinations. The Advanced International Certificate of Education is an innovative and accelerated method of academic study offered solely through the University of Cambridge International Examinations, a division of the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England — an institution consistently ranked as one of the top five academic universities in the world. Furthermore, AICE Diploma students can earn college credit and even a full scholarship with the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

Career Dual Enrollment

Ҵý is proud to offer Career Dual Enrollment Programs through Marchman Technical College, Pinellas Technical College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Career Dual Enrollment allows students to take college-level courses while still in high school and earn both high school and college credit simultaneously, giving them a head start on their college education. Career Dual Enrollment provides students with the academic knowledge and technical skills necessary to start a successful career. Career Dual Enrollment prepares students for college, career, and life while accelerating educational opportunities through rigorous coursework and industry certifications.

Career Pathways/Programs

Career Pathways are unique schools-within-schools that offer a diverse learning curriculum that focuses on helping students develop dynamic skillsets that lead to high-paying careers. These exciting programs offer students a chance to succeed academically while gaining valuable knowledge that enhances their employability after graduation. Career Pathways give you hands-on experience within an industry of your choosing, and lets you earn industry-recognized credentials that translate to real world, high-demand careers. Early College Program

Ҵý is proud to partner with Ҵý Hernando State College (PHSC) to offer students the Early College Program. The Early College Program is designed to allow students to earn an AA/AS degree while also earning their standard high school diploma. Students will take courses at Zephyrhills High School or Fivay High School — the designated program high schools — or through Ҵý e-School or PHSC. Students will enter as a cohort and have a counselor dedicated to supporting them through the program.

Fine Arts

Ҵý is proud to offer fine arts programming at all our schools. In addition, we offer expanded fine arts programs at a number of schools providing a comprehensive fine arts education to our students. Students have the opportunity to perform and showcase their work throughout the community. Fine arts students leave with skills that allow them to pursue careers and higher education in the arts. Students learning through creativity enhances their ability to problem solve and can increase their performance in core academic classes.

Fire Science Academy

The Fire Science career pathway aims to provide coherent and rigorous content to prepare students for a rewarding future in firefighting. Gifted

Ҵý is proud to offer a variety gifted services for our K-12 students. These services range from consult to our new Centers for Gifted Studies, in which gifted services are provided to students within a setting that has been designated as a gifted class. This environment is made up exclusively of gifted eligible students and facilitated by a teacher of gifted or multiple gifted endorsed teachers. Through our gifted services, we strive to provide intellectual and academic opportunities for students to maximize their potential through collaboration, innovation, and problem solving, while supporting their unique social-emotional needs.

Innovative STEM Dedicated Magnet High Schools

Innovative STEM Dedicated Magnet High Schools implement advanced science, technology, engineering, and mathematics school-wide. The theme integrates these subject areas into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications to ensure that students develop a strong, diverse foundation for their futures. These schools have a common focus on Cybersecurity, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, and Robotics. Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation and Wendell Krinn Technical High School offer additional Applied STEM programs perfect for hands-on learners.

International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate programme (IB) offers a continuum of international education. The programme encourages both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and in their personal development. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically. IB World School students develop strong academic, social, and emotional characteristics. Furthermore, IB students can earn college credit and even a full scholarship with the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

K-8

K-8 schools have demonstrated the benefits of increased student confidence and academic success. K-8 schools have a focus on building a strong community around students while implementing innovative structures around magnet themes. Students are empowered to discover their interests and feel safe in their environment to explore their talents. New Teacher Academy

Ҵý is proud to have a New Teacher Academy at River Ridge High School, Wiregrass Ranch High School, and Zephyrhills High School. Developing future teachers, while serving the community, provides a powerful platform for the next generation of teachers. Students in their second and third years identify educational issues and create solutions, in the form of creative philanthropy projects. NTA students market their projects, create logos, acquire funding, schedule appointments, purchase t-shirts, and raise community awareness, all while learning the attributes of being an excellent educator.

Ҵý eSchool

Ҵý eSchool, the 2018 Florida Virtual School Franchise of the Year, is available to all students in grades K-12. For students in grades K-5, Ҵý eSchool offers free enrollment in a full-year program that features innovative curricula rooted in the best traditions of education. Students receive instruction from highly qualified teachers who use the latest technology in online learning. Students from 6th through 12th grades may choose to enroll in flexible part- or full-time instruction. Because we believe in the success of all students, any public school, private school, charter school, or home education student located in Ҵý County is eligible to apply.

STEAM

A STEAM magnet school focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to prepare students for college, career and life. Rather than teaching these subjects in isolation, the magnet theme is integrated into the core curriculum. Through inquiry, critical thinking, and process-based learning instruction, students will develop real-world skills in the fields of robotics, aviation, drones, virtual reality, and more.
